2008 Frozen Fingers and Chili Cookoff - February 16, 2008 The snow was deep and the wind was cold, but what else would we expect for February in Wisconsin?  The chili was hot, and with warm smiles and friend's faces, it made for a fun day at the airfield that will be a winter highlight!  Combat was flown, along with a Cub and Nexstar on skis.  A North Star, a Slinger and a Striker were also part of the day's fun.  Doc Todd flew his electric helicopter inside where the wind chill wasn't a factor.  The chili was all good and voting was very tight.  Chili cook off winners were:  1st place:  Rob & Cindy Wink,  2nd place:  Larry Horkman,  3rd place:  Mike & Denise LaPacz.   We appreciate the Nicolet Association for the use of their club house and John Christensen who brought the outdoor fireplace, both which helped keep everyone warm.  Thanks also to everyone who participated and brought chili, desserts and snacks.
